SpiritWorld (Las Vegas) opened for hardcore bands Comeback Kid and Stick to your Guns on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at The Magic Stick in Detroit, MI.

I had bought tickets to see D.R.I. who were on a short midwest tour playing at The Sanctuary in Hamtramck the same night. Since purchasing the tickets, I began listening to SpiritWorld on a daily basis and knew that I couldn’t miss this show. I considered seeing both shows, but I had just seen D.R.I. late last year and several times before, so I didn’t feel too bad about missing the show.

Fortunately, I was able to sell the D.R.I. tickets and got to see the SpiritWorld rip through a 30 minute set. They sounded fantastic live and have become one of my favorite thrash metal bands.
